I recently acquired some frags from a friend with a well established tank whom I trust. He glued the frags on some rubble rocks and then I put them in my tank. Every piece of rock he gave me is very porous.

The other day I noticed what looked like a worm of sorts hanging out of one of the holes. After a closer look there were a few more "worms" sticking out in different directions from inside of the rock...it looks like there is a tiny type of starfish in the rock, and his legs are hanging out.

They look a little bristtly, and are white with almost maroon colored bands. I just found another rock with the same "thing" hanging out of it.

Does it sound like some type star?
If so, what kind and should I take measures to eradicate it?
