some type of tubeworm looking algae?

    This guy started growing just after my cycle ended. It has what looks like a stumpy root system and a big fan leaf at the end of its tube. My snails don't seem to give it a chance to take root and grow vertically. They just bulldoze over and around it. Any ideas on what it is? I'll see what I can do to get better pics than the ones below.

    Here's a FTS. This guy is a couple inches northeast of the dwarf cerith on the sand next to the glass.
