First of all I am new to the hobby and i really like zoas. I have 4 or 5 different frags that I got from LFS but I am still looking for more. I came across to this red hornet or something zoa and it was like 150 per polyp  . What is the deal with this zoanthids that cost $150 per polyp. I mean its cool and everything but 150 per polyp is crazy. ::) Are this some kind of magic zoas. In my opinion fire and ice zoas are far better looking.

supply and demand, the rarer something is the more its worth.

I remember when gem tangs were only a couple hundred dollars, now they are worth 10x that.

Prices are crazy. In 2002 I bought McCosker's wrasses for $24.99 each. Now they're $49.99 each (lowest price I could find).

The coral prices are nuts, and I laugh every time I see one that's $100+/polyp!
