    If I have never ever had hermit crabs in my tank, how is it that this guy got in here?
    In fact I have made it a point to never put hermits in my tank because I do not want them.
    How does this happen?

    baby in LR, on a frag, in LFS bag water etc! there was a thread on here a week ago showing a swarm of baby pods that ended up being blue leg hermit crab babies! they look like little shrimp babies! teeny

    It's amazing to me all the things that show up in my tank.

    thats all i can think of... wow thats crazy.

    I am thinking he is at least a year old then because I havent added anything substantial for over a year. Some frags recently but they are always fresh cut

    Yeah that is crazy.

    Guess hermit is an appropriate name for them. He has been hiding away all this time.

    I do not like much either, but I am ok with one or two.

    Is he going stay or are you going to find him another home?

    I'd keep him! He hasn't caused you noticeable trouble and the fact that he managed to sneak in like a ninja is worth rewarding a life in a good home!
