I agree with FaceofDeceit. If you get your CUC from John, that's where you probably acquired him. Some of the extra hermits I've gotten from John were tiny, but they grow up and do really well. Or maybe Kacy did throw it in your tank?

 

Not that I'm knocking John or reefcleaners in anyway. I wouldn't get snails from any other vendor as long as he's in business. But I have found them small enough to inhabit dwarf cerith shells in orders from them.

 

I got one blue leg hermit from Reefcleaners in a bag that had limpets in it. I ordered a few limpets for my nano (along with some other stuff) and there was one blue leg in the bag.


I don't have any other hermits in my tank but this one guy, but I don't mind him at all. I normally avoid hermits b/c of their tendency to kill off snails to rob their shells, but this guy is waaaaaay smaller than any of my other snails so he's not a danger to them.

 

I have a lone hermit who infiltrated via dwarf ceirth. when i introduce my reefcleaners orders I do it in a small Tupperware container to isolate any potential crabs. Don't you know the story of Troy my friend?
