This is one of those threads that is going to give me nightmares! Now I'm going to dream about finding POOP in my tank.! Ahhhhhhhhhhh.

    Thanks

That really is crazy though, I'm going to have to tell my husband about this one. He always says people are getting more stupid.

After my initial laughter/gross out this was my FIRST thought. Haha.

Sadly, I just imagined someone standing on a chair with their butt over their tank, haha.

I am pleased everyone enjoyed this story ;D

I was over there for a while. I explained directly this time about the cycle and was able to give advise in several areas. The main problem was my buddy was acting as a middle man - the common link between me and this other guy. My buddy doesn't know about marine tanks, so I guess he wasn't able to really relay my info very well.

Anyway, I had the same question. He talked about not wanting to do that and how he kept almost doing it and having to come back. Finally, he says, "I decided to man up. Put a baggy on my hand and plucked it out of the toilet"

I thought "man up" and "plucked" were funny words to use in this context.

He then was telling me how he had planned to hold it over a paper plate (to catch any, uh, debris) en route from the restroom to his tank but that didn't work out so well and, apparently, what made it to the tank was only about half the original log. The other half broke (it's a lot softer than you think! he said), bounced off the plate and he said he almost dropped the other half trying to keep the broken piece from falling on his foot. I can hardly type I'm laughing so hard retelling this.

Fortunately for him he has hardwood floors so clean up was a breeze... :-X

Nice. I just discovered it is possible to laugh and gag at the same time. :)
