60 gal tank. 2 clowns, 1 Sailfin Tang, I've had him 4 or 5 months, common snails, a few hermit crabs,
And a sandshifting star. (which I NEVER see) .
And I have had him for 4 or 5 months, About 1/2 the sice of your hand, when I got him.. No other types of crabs, no shrimp.....

My Bro. turns my lights on when he gets up..
I went in to feed my fish, and check my tank... AND ...

Near the top of my tank, I had a large frag of Blue Snowflake Polyps..
Growing really well, about the size of a silver dollar..

1/2 were gone, down to the liverock it was on.. cleaned...
I mean the liverock is white where they were..
The other 1/2 was fine.. I also have 2 other frags of them in my tank that are OK.. They had to have been touched.....

They are very short 1/4 inch or so..
Did my Tang get a taste for these last night..?? Maybe he was doing his job alittle to good..?

He eats like a horse.... And that is no lie....

I feed him, formula 1 and 2 marine pellets with garlic, mysis shrimp,
brian shrimp (sp). cutup fresh shrimp, squid I also have a clip I put Seaweed Salad sheets on.. flowed up tight, he gos after it like a Pit Bull, ripps it out. I have to replace it ever other day, Plus I add stuff for my filterfeeders, corals, etc..
I will move my frag to a better spot, and I'm sure they will grow back..
First time this has happened to me..

What could have done this.... my Tang..??
I know it wasn't "bailout" . Or anything like that..
They look to have been eaten..
But then, I could be wrong..??

    Thanks, Larry

I am betting your sailfin. I have one that I have had (desenji) for months and he hasnt bothered anything. Now I am watching him eating my open brain and I think he killed my one clam
