I noticed my toadstool was drooping a bit so i took a close look.
Either something is eating at it or it is deteriorating. I have a normal cleanup in the tank. used dry rock for the tank. so not a high chance of a hitch hiker.

Take a look and let me know what you think and how can i help it or save it or should i not be worried?

    Thanks Guys!

Check for cream colored nudibranchs, very small about 1/8 of an inch in size.

so the lights went out and i waited about 30 min. then i noticed a very skinny worm like thing right where the wounds were on the coral. maybe an inch long max. seemed black with white stripes maybe. soon as i turned the lights on he either sucked back into a hole or something or shrank. can only either tell me if this is my problem? direct me to a place with pictures of worm pests and how can i get rid of them if at all possible?

    Thanks!

Bump. worm is still there eating away. Will CoralX dip kill him off?

He seems to be living in the live rock the coral is attached to. Can i just did the live rock in RO/DI for a few min without the coral getting in the freshwater? Would that kill him off?

in your second pic thats a nudibranch that's likely to be your coral eater.. and the worm almosy looks like a beat up star fish... but hard to tell.. Heres a link to help you out scroll down a bit and look up nuibranch it says its coral eater so down the ole porcilen godd for it..

    Link: LionfishLair.com - Library

And the worm thing you can dip the base of the rock in fresh but... it will only retreat deaper in the rock and my stress the coral out being out of water longer than needed.. Best thing is to see if you can grab it with tweezers and pull it out..

    Best of Luck..

The worm can be found on this link, a Sipunculida.

    Worm Hitch Hikers

The Nudibranch is most likely the culprit, you need to manually remove them.
