I bought a Diamond Goby last week, and all weekend the little guy has been just digging away. Saw him this morning and it looked like he was resting on his big sand pile, walked back in a few minutes later and he was floating!

I looked closely at him, and about 3/4 of the way back on his side was a big round wound and his internals looked pretty dark/bruised.

Guessing one of my other fish got him. I have: 2 false percula clowns, flame hawkfish, blue damsel (the most aggresive), Lamark Angelfish, Yellow tang, and a royal gramma.

Guessing it was the blue damsel as he is the only fish that ever gives any new fish trouble, but wanted to see if you guys had any thoughts.

Is it possible that any of your LR accidentally shifted when he was digging and smooshed him a little?

hmmmm...yeah, possible, but he only dug under one rock which doesn't have anything else on top of it. But that sure would explain it :-(

My kids had just named him "Doug" this morning too because he "dug" a hole ...:-( Always hate losing livestock...my kids always get really upset.
