I've kept alive a small sand dollar for at least 4 months now in my 80 gallon reef. I know i always wanted to keep one alive in my reef and thought it was nearly impossible from what little info there is on the net. But its actually very easy. I actually conmpletely forgot about him until i dug him up earlier today haha. The only specification is that you need a very fine-grain sand like aragonite. Any crushed coral and they can not filter it out, which kills them. I did try keeping a sand dollar one other time when i had a crushed coral/aragonite mix but it perished after 5 days. Any benefits of having this in my aquarium??

I have no idea about the benefits, but that sounds very cool.
