i really dont know where to put this but something in my tank is breeding! its a hole in one of the rocks and letting out puffs of like white smoke.

I'm not sure what it is, im thinking it maybe one of the CUC i have blue legged hermits, nerites, ceriths, and a few other snails, i also have a cleaner shrimp and urchin but its deffiently not one of those.

Any idea whats causing the white smoke?

i cant remember who had a video of his worms expelling the white puffs of "smoke". but they were bristles in their tank doing it.

i believe it is a vermetid worm, they are harmless with the exception they shoot out this like web looking stuff to gather food out of the water column sometimes gets snagged by corals and looks ugly.

Yeah, I'm gonna say some kind of worm too. I do remember someone posting a video of a bristle worm shooting out white smoke when it was breeding.

I have these spaghetti worms that either bore holes or blow junk out of existing holes in the rock. Either way it looks like puffs of smoke while they are active.
You don't want vermetids believe me. For the most part they are harmless but they multiply uber fast and the web they send out is irritating to some corals. They don't live in the rocks anyway. They make a little sprial shaped shells that looks like a comics version of poo. If you see them either dab a bit of superglue over the end of the tube or if you can take out whatever they have attached to and chip the whole mess off.
