    I would say start dosing with some type of purple chemical. I recommend purple tech by kent. It brings out the colors in it alot and spreads it fairly quickly.

    +1 on believing it could be a parameter issue - Mag, calk and Alk dropping

    if it would stick to the rockwork, Id welcome it
    but it prefers the acrylic, and OK on the back of your tank and maybe even on the sides, but a nuisance having to periodically scrape small circles of it of the front
