    I don't know about the emerald... but are some of your hermits quite larger than the others? Cuz I've heard they'll kill others that are much smaller.

    I've got some mexican red legs that are twice the size of the ones that are being killed. Hard to imagine them fighting like that. There are only 20 reds in my tank. 10 of each. And I have a ton of rock.
