Something new popped up in my tank today

i was able to get a pic of this thing unlike some of my other stuff.

 

Microalgae? Kind of looks like a young mermaids fan.

 

would microalgae be a good sign of the cycling process about to end? according to my test readings it's very close

 

not necessarily the end. but youre getting close. get all kinds of these macros growing. most will die off tho

 

then my readings must be correct, because they show i am close to ending the cycling, so i guess the tank agrees i must be doing something right, lol even though i havent been doing anything to the tank

 

I would say that you're getting into the early mid part of your end of your cycle if you're just starting to notice things popping up. I agree with divott that most of them won't survive, but i still have a few growing from my first cycle that don't look 1/2 bad.

 

oh cool! after seeing no real hitchhikers or worms in my tanks soon to be 4 weeks of life, it's nice seeing something going on in there besides all of the coralline thats growing, which i am loving all of it
