I'm in the process of cycling my tank and I've notice this growing on a piece of live rock. It's white in color and almost looks like a cobb web or a moths cocoon. I know it's kind of hard to see in the photo but it was the best my camera would do. What is it and is it good or bad?

probably a sponge or something. don't worry about stuff unless it looks like anemone, moves, or hurts to touch.

edit because you will get alot of stuff popping up sorry i can't identify it better, but i pretty sure you don't have to worry about it like 99.9%
