something on my Turbo Snail??

    I seen this odd thing on one of my Turbo Snails, I got good pics, but their small, they seem to be growing on a pink base which is also the thing growing is also pink, I thought some plant, but I don't think their is any pink sea plants :D

    It is a dry heat, yeah right !
    I believe it's a type of calcareous algae aka coralline, just a different type.

    I never seen coralline do that, it seemed to had been soft, cus it was moving, maybe just the current.

    ohhh! so it is kind of a plant, I wonder where that stuff came from :/

    Snails sit around, stuff lands on their shells and it takes hold. Just another hitchhiker.

    We've had snails come in that grew great long stands of Ulva on them, which we shared among several of our tanks.
