Does anyone know of a GCI or even a surge protector that actually locks into the wall outlet?
Don't know who did it, but one of the pets pulled the whole unit out of the wall last night at some point. Tank went without power for unkown time.
Everything looks ok, little stressed and temp got down to 72. If this happened in the winter I would be starting from scratch.
Trying to make sure this does not happen again.

Not pretty but how about strapping it with a plumber's tape and a couple anchors in the wall?

How about using the an exterior cover for your outlet. It will look out of place but it will resolve you problem as they secure the cable in place.

This is what I am referring to:

The covers look good. Look like they screw into the outlet itself, so no need to butcher the wall.

sorry,I must have forgotten to paste....it's something like this one. But really the best option would be to just replace the outlet with a GFCI outlet. I couldnt do this because at the time I lived at an apartment. so I had to make do.

You could also pick up a UPS. Don't know how long one would last but if you kept just the bare essentials plugged in could avoid a catastrophe.
