Something wrong with my Sebae!!!!

    Hey Guys, Hope Everyone is doing good!!! ;D

    Last Nite when I got home I went to go look at my fish tank and my sebae clownfish has something wrong with his eye and i dont know what it is, he doesnt even want to eat!!

    Does anyone know what it is??

    Ouch....looks like a bad case of popeye. Get yourself some Maracyn II and treat the fish in a quarantine tank if you've got one. If you don't have a q-tank, it should be ok to treat the tank that it's in. Here's what the box looks like:

    It could be that it scratched its eye on some rock or something and bacteria set in. Either way, it needs to be treated asap.

    if i treat it in the tank that its in rite now that Maracyn II wont affect any of my corals or my other fish ???

    It should not, no. Some people may argue that the medication will kill some or all of the "good" bacteria in your tank but I have treated my full reef tanks countless times with Maracyn II with absolutely no ill effects. If your fish was eating, I would suggest just soaking its food with the meds but that's not the case. Just follow the instructions on the box and good luck!
