I know the base is not supposed to be this white. Can someone identify what is happening? Is this RTN/STN or bleaching? I got this frag 2 days ago and it came like this. Or maybe it can be just a lot of glue? Thanks.

It's hard to tell from the pic. It could be STN, if it were RTN, then it would be gone already. It doesn't look like new growth to me, no uniform enough around the base. New growth can be white, but not on a frag that colored up. I bleached my red planet and it turns a light pinkish/red color. I have also had a chalice frag fall into the base of my RP and it killed off a small area which not as some slime algae growing on it, but the corals seems to be holding on fairly well. I wouldn't worry about that for now, but if it starts to spread, save what you can.
