So Geek, do you advise against 15 GPD water changes with the Coralife when it arrives?

I don't think 2 25% water changes would further stress the corals.

Have you asked Tangster for any advice? I think you said before that you had, I was just curious as to what he had to say. I put a lot of stock on that man, he has never led me wrong!

I don't know... When ever I do a water change it seems to streess out the corals a bit and if they are already stressed... well it just can't be good for them. I would stick with what Geek say's.

I would tend to agree with you IF your tank was running good, but since his tank is not doing so good, what does he have to lose. He has something really wrong with that salt mix that he used last. He needs to dilute(sp) his water with another salt mix. Just my 2 cents. Luna

I just did a 50% water change on my QT tank about a month ago and withon an hour of finishing it my corals were all opened and looking very happy. Now obviously during the water change and shortly after they were all closed up but that's just their reaction.

Sparky I don't really care what method you use, just want you to be informed of how little original water you're taking out by the 4th, 5th, 6th changes...

Hey sparky another way to think about this "from your corals perspective" If you were stuck in a room with no clean air would you A: want me to slowly pump in clean air or B: suck out half of the bad air and pump back in clean air all at once??? Which one do you think would be less stressful?
