Ok i just wanted to know do candy cane corals skeletons get bigger and longer or just the heads grow bigger? As I was picking some vermetid snails or whatever the heck they are off my candy cane corals i snapped it in half and now the skeleton with heads on it is about 1 inch long with like 5 dime sized heads. I placed it in the sand instead of epoxing it to a rock hopefully its better?

As long as you didn't damage any of the tissue, you should be fine.

super glue it right back where it was! No foul, no loss of down.
    ;-)

I had rarely something fall on my corals, especially the CC, and boom, itstant fragging!
I did glue the frag to a piece of rubble too, or right back where it was- in which case, no new frag.

Lol,yeah,I got a frogspawn about the same way,7/8 fat heads on a little stump of skeleton just stuck in my sandbed,it does just fine and when opened up,you can't even tell. The skeleton will keep growing with proper parameters, but it will be painfully slow.
