    Hi everyone!!!!!

I just got a new tank, cycling with live rock atm.

I can hear loud CLICK CLICK, only two clicks. Is this a Pistol Shrimp?

I had a Mantis Shrimp in my other tank, making clicking, and it sounded no where near as loud as this, this is like a gun!!!!! or is it just a bigger Mantis Shrimp, making a louder click?!!?

Could be how big was the other tank 12 gal aint to big so perhaps the sound travels a bit more?
Maybee you need to do a last night stake out of your tank to see whats getting around after dark

Sounds like a Pistol Shrimp. Which tank is this clicking sound coming from? The 12g or the 70g cycling tank? Luna

Yep, the Clicking is coming from my new 270L/70Gall tank.... I just got my live rock yesterday...

So the tank size might make the clicking sound louder? It is SOOOO much louder than the sound that came from my lil tank, when I had the Mantis Shrimp in there.

Ok, also, the new Clicks are like just two clicks. The mantis tended to do maybe 4 or so lil clicks...

Hey I also found a lil tiny FISH in my live rock!! Dunno how it survived being in a container with only wet newspaper!! So exciting )

Ok Ill try, to get a pic.... but I saw something moving in and out of a lil cave, not even a shape, just movement, Then he darted out then darted back in again. So I knew it was a fish. VERY tiny, almost clear, with orange tint of colour to him. How does he survive not being in water?! I love finding hitchhikers in the rock.)

Are you sure that was a fish that you saw and not a tiger pistol shrimp?

Finding a fish in your LR is not impossible, but the chances are slim.

Yeh pretty sure the lil thing is dead now, I havent seen it since. It was VERY fishy, like a fish.

I have so many crabs and a huuuuge Mantis Shrimp, so the lil thing wouldnt last long. It was so small and cute!!! and orange.

Best way to tell what the heck it is, is simply half fill a bucket w/ RODI water.
Add salt mix and make it extra salty, I dunno maybe 1.040 SG? Can someone else tell just how salty it should be?
Then put the LR (that the alleged mantis shrimp is living in) in the bucket of extra salty water, and he should scramble on out.
