lookin' great man! no plans for fish? if you want sps's to really thrive i would add another K nano, they really aren't all that powerful.

for now that little damsel will do, im not really planning to stock this tank. all my favorite fish require bigger tanks.

yea i know that nano k isn't enough, i do plan to add another one, i do have one more power head in the chaeto area but that one is pointed at the surface of the water for gas exchange.

oh cool, an actual mini reef(no fish) is something I have always wanted to do, but the g/f says otherwise....:-/. What kind of bulb/K are you using?

no actinics, but the bulb does a pretty good job for coloration, even though the pics don't do it justice.

actually the bulb does a great job for a 30 dollar ebay bulb.

lol ebay bulbs will never last as long IME. I used a 14k on mine and just loved how the corals popped out at you, very impressive to say the least. I think you have 25 more watts than I did, lol how far is your light above the tank ;D

    2 feet.

if it last a 1/3 of the time it would be worth it.

the 4 striped damsel which ive named the smallest damsel of them all(about the size of a dime), has a blue stripe on its fin if you look closily, i have never noticed that on any other 4 stripes
