Ok guys my aqua lifter just quit on me today, and it was a integral part of my overflow. Luckily I caught it before the siphon action quit.

personally I wouldn't recommend a CPR overflow to anyone now, because it relies so much on that aqua lifter.

Maybe My flow through it was just fast enough to suck in bubbles but to slow to pass them through. Anyway It was accumulating a air gap rather quickly so yea I need something else.

I decided against ordering another aqua lifter. I could buy another overflow but I decided to go with a already drilled 40Long tank. My LFS had a use one for half price, and it was still relatively new(came from another lfs that closed 6months after it opened).

well the good thing about the new one is the overflow hole is at such a height that it leaves 3 inches to the top of the tank. This is favorable in case I decide to get a vortech or a wave box.

Ok I have moved everything over to the new tank, but I am still waiting for some plumbing connections to complete the overflow.

I decided not to restart my sand bed, So this tank is bare bottom, all the corals look great and the dinoflagellates I had in some areas have disappeared.

My only worry is my yellow coris wrasse will be unhappy. also today I learned a yellow coris wrasse isn't a coris at all.
