Just transferred this piece of LR to our new QT atop some fresh base rock. After a few minutes, noticed these tentacle-like things reaching out from those columns of rubble. These are zoomed pics. Can also see feather worm of some kind and side shot of Asterina. :)

I think it is a spaghetti worm. I had one in my tank a while back and that's what I was told.

I have some to and was told basically the same thing. They never hurt anything and only drag detritus back to the tube so I figuire they are harmless.

    Thanks for the replies!

I found a Cerith snail with 3 red tube worms living on his shell. Thought that was kind of a strange place to be, considering the snail spends some time under the sand now and then.

Those are just mini featherdusters. I have a million of them on my rocks. The white is the calcified tube that variety builds.

Yeah, I knew that. Just thought it was odd that a filter-feeder would opt for a mobile home. ;)

I believe it is a spionid worm a good member of the clean up crew.

After looking up pics of the spionid worms, I believe you are correct. (or chaetopterid perhaps, but I'm not breaking out the microscope...) :)
