Spamming the Sale Forum

So Does anyone else think its rude to Create and account on a hobby web and then for the first, second, third, and fourth post to be sales crap for something totally unrelated.

 

98% of it isnt even human, its a bot crawling the web looking for forums then running a scripted macro to dump in the data, problem with php it's to damn easy to code

 

He must be desperate. Can't be making any money like that.

 

I doubt its a legitimate company. Most of the crap like that is a scam.

 

eh, I reported one of the posts, the mods here are pretty good about getting them banned and cleaned up

 

Its not always a bot. Actually, now a days, it probably is a person. With captcha and e-mail confirmation they have these days, companies actually hire people to sit here and do this stuff. They are set-up like a pyramid scheme reminiscent of the envelope/mailing schemes.
It is really annoying. The best way to combat this is simply by reporting the post, and doing nothing else. They track the threads. PLEASE DO NOT RESPOND TO THE SPAM THREADS. Even with posts like "please go away we dont want spam" or other negative responses, that is tracked back as a hit. With every reply a user may post, we are only going to get even more spam. Also, do not click on the website link. That is gauranteed to get us more spam.
So please, if you want it to stop, just report it, nothing else. Please do not respond to the spam posts.
