so i have this 29gal tank sitting in my closet and i dont know what to do with it??? Obviously the thought had come to mind to start another tank! Especially because i already have lights for it! Then i would just need some koralias and filtration, LR, ect. But in all reality i was thinking the best think to do would be make a quarantine tank. What types of things are imperative for a quarantine tank? Besides the obvious:
    Water Movement
    Lighting
    Heater
    Shelter for Fish

Do you just use some water change water for the water? It has to be cycled water, right?

Sounds like a good idea Crusty

with a hospital / quarantine tank most people set them up when they need them and then strip them down when not it use

using cycled water from the DT is an option
as would be running a foam cartridge or other bio medium in your existing tank that could then be moved and help to quickly mature the HT or QT

cover for fish is best achieved with plastics such as pipes etc rather than rocks that you may later forget where in a tank treated with copper and accidently move into your DT

Bare bottom tanks are also my prefference for same reason

lighting - IMO if your treating fish, either just moderate lighting or none at all as this will help keep potentially stressed fish a bit calmer
