    Hi There,

Would like to know, does any one have experience in adding "Special Blend" (made by Microbe-Lift) to his tank? They say it will fasten the cycling process.

The cycle of a new tank is something that should just not be rushed, IMPO.

I would not even bother with that kind of stuff. Just throw in a small ammount of live rock and or livesand and sit back and wait . . . .

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
+1. Allow time for the nutrifying bacteria to adjust as you add tank inhabitants. You may get a decent amount of nutrifying bacteria from this product, but you will not be able to maintain it, then you are back where you started from. IMO just allow the tank to cycle naturally and then stock slowly and you will have your best shot at success.

If you have tons of dead sponge, corals, algaes and such on your rock and that's how you started off your cycle, then this product could have a use. However, the best way to shorten your cycle is to properly scrub off those dead sponges, corals, and algaes prior to curing it.
