    If anyone purchases a SpectraPure RO/DI unit, be advised their supplies are not sitting on a shelf. They build to order. I ordered a MaxCap 90GPD MAXPURE MPDI SYSTEM based on one of the other links on this forum because they gave a discount if ordered from here, AND, some of the highly respected members (Matt & AZDesertRat) suggested this unit as an excellent RO/DI to own.

    So, my order went in on the 17th, and they don't expect to ship it until the 26th.

    I'm not stating displeasure here, just didn't know and want others to understand as well. I hope to have a great unit when it comes and I can start making water for my new RSM 250.

    While I'm waiting, I'm working on drain line installation into the wall for the room the tank is going into. I'll also install a switch for the water supply pump from the basement. This will allow me to do water changes without carrying buckets, dripping water on the wood floor, etc.. Just siphon from tank to drain pipe behind the tank at the wall, and then flip the switch to run the pump from the salt water reservoir in the basement to put new water into the tank. But, that's a whole different thread ;D

    the time will go by and you'll be happy you got a unit built just for you and tested, dated. My 90gpd Pro Plus took about 2 weeks but the quality and build-manship was great, love the unit.

    I ordered my new SpectaPure MaxCap this past Sunday (02/21/10). When I got home today, UPS is delivering tomorrow (02/24/10).

    That's cool! I looked at my UPS notice and it says 2-March. I guess east coast is farther away :p

    Seriously, it's no biggie.

    I just figured Spectrapure is closer to your location than mine. Your unit was probably in stock, from a canceled order (insert your favorite reason here). Mine had to be built. Just guessing....
