I can't remember when to change or locate the article I had that says how long it takes on average for T5HO's to begin shifting spectrums. What do you all think?

I'm getting some algae growth and considering my parameters haven't changed and my feeding schedule or the amounts I feed have changed at all. So I can only assume that the spectrum has shifted. My bulbs are all ATI, UVL and GE. They are just over 6 months old and that seems like to soon to begin the shift.

I cant remember the exact time frame but I believe the bulbs would last 12-18 months but could start changing as little as 6. I just changed mine and the were 9 months old because I am trying to combat algae myself.

It takes about 6 months if you don't have a good cooling system and you can get to around 12 months with a good cooling system.
