i made a durso stand pipe, i drilled afew holes in the top if it but im not getting a good flow rate from it. the plumbing path is kinda crappy but it has to be that way atleast for the time being. will more holes or bigger holes speed it up? if i run the mag 7 wide open the drain does the flush sound.

Less holes will actually make it faster, as the most flow you'll get through it is via a siphon. You only need the hole to get the flow started.

I found this link on Durso stand pipes. Maybe it will give you some insight. From what I read, the hole int he top of the stand pipe will need to be drilled larger. It sounds like your hole is too small so its creating too much of a siphon and making the flushing sound. make the whole slightly larger and it should fix the problem.

Sorry i forgot the link. Maybe you have too many holes, I think you just need to find a middle gorund with the size of the holes so it keeps up with the pump without making a lot of noise.
