Just got a ball of chaeto from a 3reef member and this is crawling around on it as I am typing this. Is this a spider that found it's way to my tank? Or is this something that usually lives in chaeto?

It's definitely a spider, how it got there is hard to say, but I would guess it dropped in.

Not surprising, spiders seem to love my tank cabinet, it's warm, dark and humid.

I might be concerned about any poison the spider may be carrying in as much as it may contaminate the tank.

spiders often find there way into my sump, I usually just net them out and flush.

i wonder if my fish have ever eaten anything like a spider or fly that landed in the water? :p
