I have seen these in one of my tanks before and its not a spaghetti worm for sure. I cannot say what exactly it is other than some type of filter feeder.
I do know however that it stays small and is not bothersome to the reef.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Pineapple sponge with a commensal brittle star living within, or something along those lines maybe.

nope... they are a little smaller than a pineapple sponge and the hair-like arms dont move.

I have never seen these come up online before anywhere so i am at a loss as to what they are. I just know from keeping them they are not detrimental to a tank.

Well, I guess it remains a mystery... good to know it won't harm anything though!

I also forgot to mention that my LR is Timora. Also, the critter has a hole very close to it that it seems to poo out of.... Like it's got one hole for eating and it's detritus comes out of a hole less than 1 cm away. This seems to indicate that it's in the worm family, but I could be wrong.

    Any more ideas?
    Thanks everyone!

I have tried but my crappy camera doesn't pick it up because it's so clear. I drew a pretty accurate picture posted on the previous page.

The problem I keep coming across is the spine thing. Worms for the most part do not have spines. The rest of your description and picture looks very similar to a worm.

Because I am me, I would touch it. And if you can remove and take a picture of it against a backround that will provide contrast that would help.

Sorry not trying to hijack the thread but the picture of the star on the left is what I found. What is it?!
