Want to make a splash guard for my LED build, was thinking maybe lexan, but will it inhibit uv's from getting to the tank? Is there something beter to use?

I think lexan is good for the no breaking thing, but glass is prob better.

How high are ya gonna hang them?

Plan on incorporating them in a hood I'm building, aprox 8-10 inches above the water. Should it be higher?

Are they dimmable, if so, doesn't matter! Well how many, tank size optics?

My LED's are 10" above the water, and its what i would consider the perfect height.

Tank is 36bow, 21" tall, ordered 80* optics for a slightly larger spread and are not dimmable. They are in conjunction with T5's and plan on removing the T5s and going to a new LED build using dimmable LEDs along with the Typhoon controller once the T5s need changed (already had them ordered before I got into LEDs on this site. The set I have now I planned on keeping on the full time and dawn/dusk the T5s like I would with the dimmable LEDs I build next). I just need to figure a way to attach a splash guard so that I can just remove the T5s and input the next LED build. You are leaning towards glass, I assume... I can change the height to any desired position with the build. I just like the look of not seeing the light fixtures, or so my GF tells me...

Def go with Evolved on this one. I had acrylic on mine but my violet optics are too big, so I need to figure out a way to drop the guard down.
