Am I confusing my reef tank?
I have deep 100 gal with 2 tangs, 2 clowns, butterfly, 4 damsels,150 lbs live rock, and assorted goodies (gsp, candie cane, sebae, rock flower, green mushrooms).
I run my actinic t12s from 6a to 7:30a, then 11a-9p (this way i can look at tank in morning before work and also enjoy when I get home). I also run mh 2x175 w from 1p-8p.
Is my split actinic schedule a bad thing For my tank?
    Thanks for your thoughts.

I think it could stress the inhabitants... I've observed my fish's behaviour, and it's definitely different if they get off of their normal sleep cycles when I turn on my lights outside of the regular times... they seemed to get stressed out by it...

maybe they would eventually get used to it if it were every day and it would be ok, though...
