We've had this shroom colony for a while and just feed it heavily two days ago. This morning a weird tube worm thing showed up next to a shroom that isn't looking good, the only shriveled shroom on the rock! The BTA was checking out the shrooms last night too but they don't look stung. Anyways, is the shrooms splitting or is it an aiptasia(sp?) or other pest?

Looks like a feather duster has popped out beside the shroom. Nothing to worry about. Not 100% sure what your mushroom is doing. It could be splitting or even just expelling waste (pooping :) )

I agree with Jason. Definitley a fan worm or feather duster. My shrooms do that sometimes as well. I wouldn't worry too much.

Yup, Tube/Fan Worm. I love it when those little guys pop up around the rocks and corals.
