Just like it says in the title. I have what look to be a couple small patches of sponge growing on the stalk of my hammer coral. They are surrounding a newly formed growing head actually. Is this ok or should I try to remove the sponge?

watch them for a few days. if they seem to overpower the new head try squirting them with some freshwater and removing them later, but be careful to not hurt the new head! good luck
