they are definitely reef safe, but they can get rather large. What size tank have you got? BTW I had a scribbled rabbitfish, and honestly that was just about my favorite fish of all time, awsome personality and way better coloration IMO.

Not sure about the spotted but my standard Foxface Lo has just started nipping at my Wellso brain. Just a warning.. I've had him for months and if you asked me a week ago... I would have said .. yeah he doesn't bother anything.

He is a good fish... very shy when I put my hands in the tank he hides.. I've heard other people say the opposite... every fish is a little different.
I haven't seen him nip at softies ... just the LPS-brain. Also they grow really fast.

Mine was seen nipping on my Xena...and now the xena is in defense mode during the day ....but I also learned that the seaweed I was feeding him might not have been enough ...I was only feeding strip that was 1' x 3' and was told that due to his size...he should be geting double this and most likely is the reason he is nipping on softies ...very shy fish in beginning ....but will eat out of my hand now....and I watch the fins !

A cool addition to a tank IMO Love the color changing he does !!
