On top of what's been suggested, I put a couple of aquaclear sponges inside of baby food jars hidden in the back of the tank to help bolster the population. Not only do the pods live in there, but I switch out for fresh sponges from the fuge occasionally as well.

The price difference is astronomical. My LFS whuch is competitavely price has a 50 dollar difference in price between ORA and not. I think you will be fine even if you don't train it to eat civiccars2003, mine survived on pods alone for almost a year before it figured out about frozen.

this will benefit you a ton, you dont realise how much these little guys can down in like a week. your pod population will diminish to like zero. so its good to supplement the diet with rozen food to delay the inevitable.

That's just it. I don't know what equivocates to a lot of pods. What I mean is I am not sure how much it will consume. As you state the pod population will diminish quickly. I am okay with adding pods on occasion, but this will get very costly. If I can find one that accepts frozen food, it will make taking care of this fish much easier.

this is what i was saying, feed the fish as much frozen food as you can so it only snacks on the pods occasionally when it is not being fed as opposed to continually throughout the day. this way the pods will have enough time to regenerate enough hopefully to reach an equilibrium between what it eats and what is reproduced.

I have a ten gallon qt tank. Would it benefit to put this fish in there before my dt to make sure 100% it eats frozen?

i would put it in your display imediately to ensure that it has enough food. as the quarantine wont have many pods if any. just wean it or make sure it eats frozen in the dt
