    Anybody know what it is? I forgot to ask.

    It looks like a swimming scull! haha.

    It wasnt my tank, its from my lfs. I think there were a few damsels, a cleaner shrimp and a blue starfish.

    it's a long horned cowfish. i work in a lfs we have one. they get very big too about 18 inch. when it's stressed it can secrete a very toxic substance and could potentially clear the entire tank and itself. i quite like it when there fully grown.

    In UK we called them Hovercraft box fish - they are not very strong swimmers as you can imagine with that shape and finnage

    they dont like the amount of flow of a typical reef tank - and they get attached to even guarded power heads

    on the positive side, in a gentle fish only tank with peaceful tank mates , these fish have great personalities and as I recall , have healthy appetites

    Agreed that is a Cowfish and i currnetly have one. Ugly they might be however they have personality and are very fun to watch.

    The longhorn cowfish is definitely one of my favorite fish!! I just wish I had more experience so that I could own one!!
