Ive read past threads on this but am still very confused. I have a 22 gallon with 2 return pumps connected to one line. One is 400 gph and one is 380. So i was going to make a spray bar and i was wondering if its a foot long and i think 3/4 inches, how many holes should i drill and how big should the holes be in order for it to distribute even flow? Should i do this? whats the benefits of a spray bar? I knew the answer but as i research it is becoming less and less clear. Help?

as someone who at one time used an external cannister filter (Fluval) with spray bar
I can tell you that its not a good idea

the holes become blocked over time, with coralline growth ( coralline loves plastic more than it loves rock)
and I spent most weeks unblocking these holes with cocktail sticks

you start with nice even flow, but eventually you end up with a mess and lots of work

solution - make the holes bigger ? No that doesnt work either, as if you make the holes bigger, more water comes out of the 1st few holes and barely any makes it to the end (I know this as I thought I was smart and could outwit coralline)
