I am fairly sure that I read somewhere that if you spray paint PVC and such it is "reef safe". Can anyone confirm that??

I am planning routing some new flow in my tank with a DIY system....

Are you asking is PVC is reef safe ? Or if the spray paint is reef safe?

    Isn't the answer both?

If the spray paint is allowed the time to cure doesn't it become reef safe? and isn't PVC reef safe because it is so widely used in reef plumbing?

PVC is reef safe, yes. As far as spray paint, I think you're right. I've seen it used before.

I was just trying to confirm the question.

I would use Krylon Fusion, it bonds to the PVC better. Be sure to give it a full week to cure.
