    doesnt seem like it would work out unless you had alot of money, just so many things could go wrong in the process and during operation.

    Eastern Washington isn't as bad as western washington for clouds. I think he even puts up a shade cloth in mid summer to keep the light from becoming too intense :)

    You can do it in cold climate (Anthony Calfo did) and regardless of how many sunny days you have, you will have to supplement lighting. Plenty of people have had success doing this.

    I don't see where it'd be too much money, not cheap for sure, but a small heater keeps my double garage pretty comfortable in the winter in ohio!

    It will just be pretty hard to keep params stable, not stable enough for very sensitive Sps. Probably some hardy soft corals and Lps.
