So I got my first SPS frag about a month ago, an acropora. At the time I thought it was a purple tipped kind since the main body was a light cream color with some color at the tips. Over the past few weeks, it turned completely brown and I thought it was gone. Now, in the past week, polyps are coming out left and right and I'm noticing that under just actinics, it's turning a green color on the tips. So, to get to the point, what would be considered an average time for an SPS to regain its color?

It really depends on it's condition when it started to recover. RTN and STN can take a while, but when it comes to bleaching, the turnaround can be within a week. I've had this occur with some under-lit pocillopora

i have seen up to 2 months for a complete color recovery.
It depends 100% on your lights. what kind do you have? what specific bulbs also?

I'll post some pics tomorrow after lights come back on. Well hopefully it doesn't take too long to color back up. I got a nice green staghorn frag from a fellow 3reefer that's starting to color very nicely.

I have a 4 bulb T5 fixture that's fairly new. It just has the stock bulbs in it which i know should probably be traded out for something better.
