    Well i turned the lights down to about 30% whites 50% blues, my zoos that were closed up started to open so thats a good sign! :p

    Yup, be carefull with optics. My orange plate shrivelled on the sand bed at 40%, so stay low on the power, and go up 5% a week

    Nice thing is you can control the power with the right unit. You couldn't do that with T5s until a year or two ago. You just had to raise and lower the fixture. I bleached my corals at first and still have that issue when I change bulbs.

    dang that stinks, never thought about how lucky i am! Have only been in the hobby for about a year now. Love it tho. Just still a ton i need to learn!

    Hmm, I must have really strong corals I have my lights go up slowly throughout the day and no problem corals have been strong. Lights only been up for two days, I guess we'll see if tis gets bad by the weekend I'll have to turn them down.


    But I guess i should add my lights are 16 inchs off the water line

    yeaa any new coral i add thrives for like a week, then bleaches. So be careful!

    There's a gentlemen in our local reef club who has had really great success with the evergrow d120 (reefbreeders light). What he did was start out at 40% for a 5 hour photo period. After a week he went up 10%, next week up 1 hour, next week up 10%, next week 1 hour, etc..........his stuff is flourishing under the lights. LED's are stronger than we give them credit for. Even if they don't look that bright to our eyes, they have a strong par.

    i'm contemplating a reefbreeders dimmable for my 45g cube sps tank
