i dont have a squareback anthias but i do have anthias in my tank, 3 bartlett's and a sunburst. they are all fine with the chromis.
the bartlett anthias came to me as all females the largest one turned into the male. was cool to watch the color change. i purchased them from liveaqauria. i really think people that pick the orders there try to send what will work if you order several at once.
the sunburst i bought at the local fish store, and with in 10 minutes of putting it in my tank it was out of the rocks and swimming with the bartlett's

Anthias go from female to male, not the other way around.

The anthias in the pic is one of the nicest ones I've seen. Really nice.

    Compatibility

I just got one squareback anthias but would like to add more. It is a male right now but seems to be changing as males tend to change to females if they are the only one in the tank. If i were to add another male and a female or two would the one I have continue to change to female and get along or would they fight?

Also, what is the compatibility between other types of anthias? Would adding another anthias of a different type be an issue or do they tend to get along?
