guess my luck is coming to an end, I have stocked 3 tanks in the last few months with fish, and no issues or fatalities...

I got these squareback anthias about a week ago, the lfs only had 2 male and female, I know they do better in a harem, but I figured I could add in a female if it was an issue.

They are the social butterflies of the tank, the only other inhabitants of this tank are 2 firefish, and a fairy wrasse and I have seen no aggression anywhere.

I have tried feeding NLS pellets, brine, mysis, formula 1 & 2 and marine cuisine ... there not eating anything. I soak everything in garlic and selcon. Im thinking ill go get some live brine tomorrow, is there anything else you would suggest trying?

are you sure they're not eating anything? just because you don't see them eating doesn't mean they're not eating. bellies fat and round or is it thin?

if anything, live brine would be your best bet. not really sure what to suggest since you've tried everything except for live food.

good luck with everything though. let us know how everything goes. :)

they can be tough to get to eat. I started mine on hikari mysis shrimp since they were much smaller, but even so, I had to shave the mysis off the cubes to get them to eat it. If you just thaw the whole cube, they won't eat the whole size of the mysis. Seems anthias prefer smaller foods.

I eventually got mine to eat pellets by using the NLS finicky fish formula because these pellets are slightly smaller than the thera+a. The trick is to feed nothing else but pellets for a couple days and when they get hungry they will eat the pellets.

If that doesn't work, did you try cyclopeeze? my anthias went gaga over that food.
