SRO-LX1000S HOB Skimmer Priced

Yea, plus the cup is outlined in red. Wouldn't have taken much for them to choose black and clear acrylic for the cup. I'm sure it's a good skimmer, but some thought into the aesthetics always goes a long way.

 

I agree Zach. It would not prevent me from buying it though...

FYI

As suspected... original pics on RS site were wrong. They were of the LX-2000S with the HY2000 pump.

The LX-1000S IS an internal pump configuration. The LX-2000S is an external pump configuration.

I have updated this thread (1st post) with the real LX-1000S pics and have added new specs including pump L/H.

 

Although red is definitely not a color i would have chosen, i totally know what you mean about the deference in which family and guests display when they gaze upon my HOB and its a humble Aqua C Remora which is black and not nearly as monstrous looking as this HOB.

It is kind of funny - like they are gazing upon the crown jewels or perhaps the dilithium crystal from Star Trek or....some other wondrous spectacle.
A couple of times mine was frothing at the mouth while observed by others and someone asked if it was gonna blow up or something
