To be honest if you want to do that i would try to put a sump in it then run it down thier to keep the main tank from getting clustered of heaters and what not. A lot of people drilled tanks here, i have never, but most say if you go slow its easy. Or you can prolly go to your local glass shop and they will do it. I found a stand close to what i was talking about al show you but instead of the hood coming up from the side have it come up from the back of the stand...http://www.3reef.com/forums/i-made/update-40b-peninsula-build-90337.html

yea your right about the sump part and thats one of the reasons i was wanting to do this, i just forgot youll see the waterloss in the sump not the display lol. oh and you hit the nail on the head with with that build thread thats exactly the type of stand i was thinking but i wanted to put the door in the front. and about the drilling im not really comfortable doing something like that especially since if i break it id have to pay $50 for a new one when i could get a 10 gal for $9. as far as lighting goes i currently have a 36 watt coralife powercompact on it, that should be pleanty for anything im gonna put in there since its so small and for corals i have a bunch of diffrent zoa frags a small yellow polyp rock and some pipe organ coral. in the future im planning some frogspawn, candy cane and maybe a small clam

Ecoxotic PAR38 LED Aquarium Lamp. Then you are not limited to just softcoral and what not!!

ok guys bad news im gonna have to put the stand on hold one because im too broke at the moment and 2 because ive decided to embark on an led project instead. ive got the led panel complete and have been takeing lots of pictures along the way now i all i need to do is wait for the driver to come in and enclose the panel to make it water resistant ill put it up when i get finished which should be sometime early next week as long the driver comes in by then
