I must say I am new to the reef tank. I've done research and decided to start off with mushrooms. They looked really good for abou 4 days and then thay started to look like they were standing up and shriveled. There are six mushrooms on the rock half of them look good and flat. All water parameters look good so I was thinking maybe I needed to move them around. Does anyone have any ideas.

Shrooms tend to like a med-low light with a slow flow.

I believe that mushrooms really benefit from iodine supplementation. From my experienc, I think that they prefer a tank with elevated Iodine concentrations at approx. .06ppm. I supplement with TM Pro Coral Iodine as required. Hope this helps.

they could be competing for the light if there too close together. I just had a nice neon green shroom let go of the rock it was on because there were reds around it covering it up (i think). I found it on one of my koralia powerheads, so I stuck it in on another rock on the opposite side of the tank.

pics would really help us figure out whats going on.
